Service providers

We may use third-party service providers to monitor and analyze the use of our website. These third parties have access to your personal data only to perform these tasks on our behalf and are obligated not to disclose or use it for any other purpose.

a) Newsletter
We use Salesforce to manage our newsletter and other email lists. Salesforce is provided by the Salesforce, Inc., Salesforce Tower, 415 Mission Street, 3rd Floor, San Francisco, CA 94105. We use a double opt-in process for the Salesforce signup, i.e. we first send you an email with a link to activate the newsletter service, before you are subscribed. You will then receive another email that expressly confirms your subscription to our mailing list.

There is no third-party tracking in messages we send through Salesforce besides Salesforces’s own analytics, which may aggregate how many subscribers open a message or click the links inside. Salesforce also uses the analysis tool Google Analytics from Google, Inc. and in some cases integrates it into the newsletter. For more information about Google Analytics please refer to our privacy policy section about Google Analytics. Salesforce’s Privacy Policy is available here. You can revoke your consent to store your email address and to use it to send the newsletter at any time. You can either unsubscribe by clicking on the unsubscribe link that is contained in every newsletter, or by reaching out to us by email.

b) Google Analytics
This website uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service provided by Google, Inc. ("Google"). Google Analytics uses so-called "cookies", text files that are stored on your computer that allow us to analyse your use of the website. As a rule, the cookie-generated data regarding your use of this website will be forwarded to a Google server in the USA and stored there. However, if IP anonymisation is enabled on this website, your IP address will be truncated by Google within the member states of the European Union or other parties to the agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transferred to a Google server in the USA, where it will be truncated. On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use this information for the purpose of evaluating your use of the website, for compiling reports on website activity, and for providing other services regarding website activity and internet usage to the website operator. The IP address transferred by your browser as part of Google Analytics will not be merged with other Google data. You can change the appropriate settings of your browser to prevent cookies being stored. However, we must point out that doing so may mean that you can no longer use the full features of the website. Furthermore, you have the option of preventing the capture of data relating to your use of the website generated by cookies (incl. your IP address) by Google as well as their processing by Google, by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available via this link. You can find more detailed information on Google's Terms of Use and Privacy Policy via the following link and here. We must point out that Google Analytics has been extended to include the "anonymizeIp" function to ensure the anonymous collection of IP addresses (IP masking) on this site.
